LightMetrics Quick-Start Guide for Admin Users

Welcome to your LightMetrics admin portal. This quick-start guide gives you a simple overview of the main features available to admin users.

What You Can Monitor

As an admin user, you can monitor:
•    Road-facing camera events
•    Driver and in-cabin alerts
•    Live video through Live Streaming
•    Parked vehicle activity through Surveillance Trip
•    Vehicle behavior based on configured thresholds

Road-Facing Events

The road-facing camera can detect events such as:
•    Harsh acceleration, braking, and cornering
•    Lane drifting
•    Speed limit and stop sign detection
•    Speeding and stop sign violations
•    Following too closely
•    Traffic light violations in supported areas
•    Vehicle speed exceeding the fleet limit

In-Cabin Alerts

The system can provide audio alerts for:
•    Driver-facing and road-facing events
•    Driver sign-in
•    Trip start and stop
•    Custom event capture
•    Live streaming start and end
•    Wi-Fi connection changes
•    Software upgrades

Live Streaming

Live Streaming allows authorized users to view live video from a vehicle camera through the fleet portal.
To use it:
1.    Log in to the fleet portal
2.    Select a vehicle or driver
3.    Choose Live View
4.    Watch the live feed on your device
A short delay of 5 to 20 seconds is normal.

Surveillance Trip

Surveillance Trip monitors the vehicle when the ignition is off.
Depending on setup, the system may:
•    Record continuously for a set time
•    Record only around vibration events
•    Wake up and record after an impact

AI Processing

The system uses AI both:
•    On the camera for real-time driving events
•    In the cloud for post-trip analysis

Audio Recording

Audio recording may be available depending on software configuration. Some camera setups record audio, and some do not.

Mobile Connection
The companion app allows Android and iPhone users to connect to the camera.
•    Android typically uses Wi-Fi Direct
•    iPhone uses Bluetooth to help connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi
Alert Changes and Support
Alert settings are controlled at the fleet level. If you need a feature changed or want help with your setup, please contact Terminus GPS for assistance.

These objects do not exist by themselves and always belong to a certain resource and form its part.

The detailed description of the user interface of Wialon can be found in the Monitoring System section.
